Sara Bowman, MSW, LGSW, is the Transitional Planning Coach Transitional Planning Coach and Trainer for Thrive@25 . She provides coaching, training, and implementation support for the Children's Bureau-funded Thrive@25 grant in five rural local departments of social services. Sara has experience working directly with system-involved youth and has worked extensively with families who are involved in the child welfare system through experiences in community based non-profit and government entities, including as a Wraparound care coordinator, Wraparound care coordinator supervisor, and as an In-Home Services/Child Protective Services Worker. She is passionate about helping individuals and families develop skills that foster long lasting connections and using creative means to assist youth with self-advocacy. Sara received her master’s in social work from Salisbury University and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University.
