The Training Institutes program begins with Affinity Groups at 2:30 on Tuesday, June 30, and concludes at 3:30 PM on Friday, July 3.
Yes, at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Information about the hotel and a link to reservations are on the of our website. We recommend making reservations as soon as possible.
After registering with the one registration fee, participants at the Training Institutes may attend all the sessions of their choice throughout the program. There will be a selection of over 100 different sessions over the course of the program, in addition to a special presentation on Tuesday, June 30. The full list of sessions and topics will be available at a later date.

Bundled Discount! Register for both the Training Institutes AND Pre-Institutes Training Program to receive a discounted registration of $1,220 ($200 savings!).
When is the deadline to register? ▾
We recommend registering as soon as possible, but everyone is welcome to register as soon as they are able. There is no cutoff date for registration. Additional onsite fee will apply for all registrations after June 22, 2020.
Are you still accepting poster presentations? ▾
Yes! Proposals for sessions were accepted until October 13, 2020, but we continue to accept poster presentations.

Do posters presenters get a discount? ▾
Poster presenters are responsible for the full registration fee.
Will scholarship assistance be available? ▾
Parent and Youth Scholarship Applications will be available soon. Please check back when we have released the scholarship application.
Will there be assistance for hotel and travel costs? ▾
All participants and faculty are responsible for their own hotel and travel costs.
What meals will be provided? ▾
PRE-INSTITUTES: Breakfast and lunch will be served for Pre-Institutes Training Program attendees on Monday, June 29th and Tuesday, June 30th.
TRAINING INSTITUTES: Breakfast and lunch will be provided Wednesday, July 1 through Friday, July 3 during the Training Institutes. There will be a Poster Session Reception with hors d’oeuvres on Thursday, as well as daily refreshment breaks.
One-day registration is not an option for the Training Institutes. If you just would like to attend the Pre-Institute program, you are able to so. The registration rate for Pre-Institutes is $495.
Can I pay by check or purchase order? ▾
Check and purchase orders are accepted as a method of payment. All checks and payment of the purchase orders must be received by June 22, 2020 (with no exceptions) to not be considered an onsite registration. Onsite registration fees are an additional $100.
By check:
- Make checks payable to UMB Foundation, Inc.
- Mail to University of Maryland, Baltimore Training Institutes, Attn: The Institute for Innovation – Zalika Woods, 525 W. Redwood St., Baltimore, MD 21201 with a copy of the registration confirmation for each person(s) whose fee is included in the check. Checks without a copy of each registration confirmation will be returned.
By purchase order:
- Attach a copy of the registration confirmation for each person(s) included in the purchase order
- Include the name, address, phone number, and email address of the person to be invoiced
We recommend registering prior to the conference. However, onsite registration will be available. The onsite registration fee is $1,025 and applies to all registrations and payments received after June 22, 2020. Pre-Institute registration may also be available onsite. However, space is limited for this opportunity.
