Core Competencies in Children's Mental Health

The development was supported by The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Division of Special Education/Early Intervention Services and the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) Mental Hygiene Administration. The curricula was developed through the University of Maryland using standards and core concepts that were developed by the Maryland Interdisciplinary Mental Health Workforce Committee. They are intended to provide a minimum standard for the proficiency of professionals working with children and youth with mental health needs and their families to assure a more qualified child and adolescent mental health workforce.
