The Institute provides training and technical assistance on topics related to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Two Spirit Youth (LGBTQI2-S). Some examples of training and technical assistance topics have included:

  • A basic overview of the experiences and potential needs of LGBTQI2-S youth
  • Creating safe spaces for LGBTQI2-S youth
  • Understanding the experiences of LGBTQI2-S in the child and youth-serving systems and strategies for supportive practices
  • Developing culturally responsive policies for state agencies and local organizations
  • Being inclusive of the LGBTQI2-S population in research design
  • Creating supportive and culturally responsive agencies and organizations for LGBTQI2-S youth and their families
