The Resource Parent Conference provides professional development education, resources, and tools to help with complex situations or issues related to caring for children, youth, and teens in foster care.

Erica Moltz, MA, NCC
For the last 20 years, as part of Adoptions Together/FamilyWorks Together, Erica Moltz, MA, NCC has supported families to achieve permanency, build the bonds of attachment and help their children heal from trauma. As a Master Clinical Trainer, she also facilitates workshops for parents and professionals in the U.S. and internationally about trauma, attachment, FASD, stress management, mindfulness, adoption and foster care. Ms. Moltz graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in Sociology and then achieved a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland in Community Counseling.

Welcome and Keynote: Got Stress? Help for the Parent Feeling Overwhelmed
With so many stressors piling up from every direction, it is no wonder that many parents feel overwhelmed and frazzled. This workshop will provide a general overview of the science behind mindfulness and laughter and how they can be used to transform your home life from chaos to calm. Through fun, experiential activities, including visualization, breathing, relaxation and interactive laughter, you will learn to manage stress and connect with children in care.

|Attendees will need to attend using a computer, tablet, or smart phone. The conference will be hosted in Zoom meeting.|
Resource Parents licensed by the State of Maryland will receive 3 training hours for the full conference.
Kinship providers and professionals are welcome to attend without credit.
