Lacy Kendrick Burk
Executive Director of Youth MOVE National
Lacy Kendrick Burk serves as Executive Director of Youth MOVE National. At 15-years-old, Ms. Kendrick Burk and her five younger siblings were placed in foster care where they spent the next six years. She aged out of the system at 21-years-old and is currently undergoing adoption proceedings with her long time foster parents. After serving as a youth consultant, Ms. Kendrick Burk joined the staff of the National Child Welfare Resource Center for Youth Development in October 2008 where she offered training and technical assistance to youth and adults around issues concerning youth engagement in the child welfare system and served as the lead for the National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD) project. Ms. Kendrick Burk has served on several boards addressing adoption, foster care, and mental health issues and, most recently, Ms. Kendrick Burk was appointed to the CMHS National Advisory Council. Her interests include youth engagement in systems change, youth adult partnerships, youth leadership development, and research and evaluation.
