Eric Bruns, PhD, has been a major figure in child, youth, and family mental health for over 15 years. He leads the National Wraparound Initiative and Wraparound Evaluation and Research Team and co-directs the Washington State Children’s Mental Health Evidence Based Practice Institute. He is best known internationally for specifying the practice model for Wraparound care coordination, developing fidelity measures and other implementation supports, and testing its effects on outcomes and costs. Over the years, Dr. Burns has provided technical assistance (TA) and evaluation support to over 100 Systems of Care (SOC) communities in over 30 states, both through dissemination of Wraparound quality and fidelity tools that he has developed and validated and through hands-on training and TA. He is eminently qualified to lead TA Network efforts around assisting sites and states with developing readiness to implement Wraparound, and evaluating fidelity and quality, and continue to develop cutting-edge products that inform and support the field of Wraparound implementation. He is also well-qualified to consult with SOC initiatives on school mental health and integration of evidence-based practices into SOC and Wraparound.
