Bio: Ms. Liggett-Creel joined the University of Maryland, School of Social Work in 2010 as a Clinical Instructor. Before then she was the Senior Clinical Social Worker at the Center for Infant Studies and the Coordinator for the Birth to Five Clinic at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She has recently developed the curriculum and intervention strategy for a preventive parenting intervention “Parent University” used in West Baltimore’s Promise Heights community. Currently, Ms. Liggett-Creel is the training coordinator for a community wide trauma informed early childhood initiative as well as a fourth year doctoral student with a focus on early childhood development, trauma and child welfare.
