Bio: Mr. Mallon is a Research and Training Specialist at the Institute.  In his role, he provides technical assistance and training for sites implementing the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessment. He has expertise in coaching around the use of the CANS assessment in a variety of child service settings and assisting in the development of curricula for CANS implementation. Before joining the Institute, Mr. Mallon worked as a Senior Clinical Social Worker at Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program and Out-Patient Social Work Mental Health Clinic.  Mr. Mallon is a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical in the State of Maryland. He has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Towson University and a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work.
